Farming
HB Grandi operates a cod farming unit in the east part of Iceland, close to the town of Djupivogur. The unit is run on an experimental basis, focusing on research of breeding, feeding and disease control. Close cooperation is maintained with HB Grandi‘s daughter company, Stofnfiskur, which is specialized in breeding technologies and roe production. HB Grandi plans a large scale cod farming operation in the same location in the coming years.
